Delhi CM Rekha Gupta assigns portfolios; keeps finance and women and child development

A sweeping reshuffle of key departments in Delhi’s government placed finance and women and child development directly under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, while major civic, security, and infrastructure responsibilities were distributed among her Cabinet colleagues, The Hindu reported. ^[1]

Gupta retained the finance, services, vigilance, revenue, and women and child development portfolios, keeping a tight grip on some of the administration’s most consequential levers. ^[1] Her set of responsibilities also includes general administration, land and building, information and public relations, and administrative reforms. ^[1]

Parvesh Verma was allotted a cluster of departments tied to public works and water management, taking charge of PWD, water, legislative affairs, irrigation and flood control, and gurdwara elections. ^[1] The assignment gives him oversight across both infrastructure execution and related administrative functions. ^[1]

Ashish Sood received a wide-ranging brief that spans internal governance and essential services, with charge of home, power, urban development, education, higher education, training and technical education. ^[1] The portfolio mix links day-to-day civic operations with schooling and skills-related departments. ^[1]

Manjinder Singh Sirsa was allotted the industries, forest and environment, and food and supply portfolios. ^[1] Pankaj Singh was allocated health, transport, and information technology departments. ^[1]

Kapil Mishra was made minister for law and justice, labour and employment, art, culture, language and tourism. ^[1] Ravinder Indraj was made minister for social welfare, SC and ST welfare, cooperatives and elections. ^[1]
